Eddytor Cloud
Limits
Rate limits and resource caps that apply in the shared cloud environment.
Eddytor Cloud is shared capacity, so instance-wide limits keep one tenant from crowding out another. These are the defaults that apply today; none of them are per-tier quotas (there are no tiers).
Request rates
| Surface | Limit |
|---|---|
| REST API | 120 requests/min per IP |
| OAuth & unauthenticated endpoints | 30 requests/min per IP |
| Flight SQL | 200 requests/min per user |
Hitting a limit returns 429 Too Many Requests - back off and retry with
exponential delay.
Query & session
| Resource | Limit |
|---|---|
| Query session memory | 512 MB per user |
| Concurrent queries | 10 per user |
| Rows per result stream | 2,000 per gRPC stream chunk |
Sessions are per (user, organisation, workspace) and are recycled after roughly an
hour of inactivity - your next query transparently opens a fresh one.
Uploads & downloads
| Operation | Limit |
|---|---|
| File upload | 100 MB per file, 500 MB per request |
| Upload via MCP | 100 MB |
| Download via MCP | 8 MB |
What is not limited
There is currently no quota on storage size, table count, or organisation count
- your table data lives in your own bucket, so its size is between you and your cloud provider. Row & column security has its own functional bounds (for example, RLS columns are capped at 10,000 distinct values) - see Security limitations.
Good to know
Limits on the shared environment can change as usage grows. If
a limit blocks a realistic evaluation,
self-hosting removes all of them - every cap above
is configuration, not product.
